Privacy policy

What we collect

• To fulfil an order: your name, email address, phone number and shipping address.
• If you create an account: your email address and a password, stored only as a secure hash.
• If you contact us: your name, email and the content of your message.
• Automatically: basic technical data such as IP address, browser type and the pages you view, used to keep the site working and to detect abuse.

What we don’t collect

We never see or store your full credit card number, expiry date or security code. Card details go directly to our payment processor. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone.

Why we collect it

To process and deliver your order, to verify age where required by law, to respond when you contact us, to send transactional email about your order, and to meet our record-keeping obligations as a seller of vaping products in Canada.

We only send marketing email if you have asked for it, and every such email has an unsubscribe link.

Who we share it with

Only with the service providers needed to run the store, and only with what they need:

• Elavon — payment processing
• Supabase — database and account hosting
• Cloudflare — website hosting and security
• Mailgun — transactional email delivery
• Shipping carriers — name and address, to deliver your parcel

Some of these providers process data outside Canada, which means it may be subject to the laws of that country. We may also disclose information where we are legally required to.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for seven years to meet tax and regulatory requirements. Account information is kept until you ask us to close your account. Contact messages are kept for two years.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar browser storage for things the site cannot work without: keeping you signed in, remembering your cart, and remembering that you have confirmed your age. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it, or withdraw consent for marketing at any time. Email info@spectrumeliquids.com and we will respond within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, passwords are hashed, and access to customer data is restricted to staff who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold.

Children

This site is not directed at anyone under the age of majority and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a minor has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
